A Foundation Forged in the Flood
Back in 2001, Tropical Storm Allison flooded Connie & Henry LeDuc's Houston, TX, home with three feet of water over the course of seven days. With five young daughters huddled on a twin bunk bed — the only dry spot in the house — they faced a total loss. This necessity turned into a calling as the family rebuilt every inch of the property themselves from the studs up. Today, The HouseLift Team brings that same survival spirit and meticulous care to every local project we undertake.
From Necessity to a Lifelong Passion
When the stormwater finally receded, the LeDuc's flood insurance barely covered materials. So the husband and wife duo rolled up their sleeves and got to work — all while working full-time. While rebuilding their own home, they discovered a profound love for the craft. Connie mastered tiling and painting while her husband tackled the complex plumbing and electrical systems. This year-long period of intense labor taught our founders how much they truly enjoy working with their hands.
